Starting from Minapin Village, the trail passes through terraced fields and pine forests before reaching Hapakun Meadows, a scenic camping spot with panoramic views of Rakaposhi and Diran Peak. The final ascent to Rakaposhi Base Camp (3,400m) rewards trekkers with up-close views of the glacier and the towering mountain.
The trek is moderate in difficulty, suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers. Itinerary
Departure point: Departure from Lahore / Islamabad
- Start your journey early in the morning from Islamabad.
- Drive towards Chilas via the Karakoram Highway, which is approximately a 10-hour drive.
- Enjoy the scenic beauty along the way and take breaks for refreshments and meals.
- Arrive in Gilgit in the evening and check-in at your hotel.
- Overnight stay in Gilgit.
- If Naran is open , we use Babusar Top Road Instead of the Besham Road
Drive along the Indus River, passing through Gilgit
Turn towards Nagar Valley, reaching Minapin Village (2,200m) – the trek’s starting point.
Explore the village, visit Minapin Glacier, and stay overnight in a guesthouse/homestay.
- Or if time left we will trek towards Hapakun meadows ,its aprox 3 hours hike from Minapin village
Gradual ascent to Rakaposhi Base Camp (3,400m) near the glacier.
Spectacular close-up views of Rakaposhi’s icy slopes and the surrounding peaks.
- Over night stay at base camp having incredible view of stars and galaxies .
Trek back to Minapin Village and drive to Karimabad (Hunza).
Visit Baltit Fort, Eagle’s Nest for sunset views, and explore local markets.
Overnight in a hotel/homestay.
Return via Babusar Pass (weather permitting) or KKH through Besham.
Arrive in Naran by evening/

Arrive in Islamabad by evening, concluding the trip.
